Verified ReviewerHave had to pay almost 2K because of compliance issues
- - Card reader was not compliant initially.
- - A scammer charged $800 with no pin or chip.
- - POS Nation paid $300, but dual-pricing issue persisted.
We bought a liquor store that was already set up with POS nation. Everything was transferred over to us from the previous owners.
No one from POS nation mentioned anything about our card reader compliance or our dual pricing compliance requirements.
One guy came in and scammed us for $800 worth of top shelf items and didn't need a pin or have to use a chip and the transaction went through. All he needed was the card number, expiration date, 3-digit code and a zip code.
We then get an email from POS nation saying we have to pay money because the bank rejected the transaction. We got our card reader updated to require a pin or password for transactions to go through.
So in a nutshell, our card reader wasn't compliant. After going back-and-forth with POS nation, they finally gave us $300 for the inconvenience.
The lady kept saying our card reader was compliant over and over, but obviously it was not.
That was the first issue.
Today we checked our bank account and they withdrew $1000 with no explanation.
They said it was a dual pricing noncompliance issue from April and it was coming straight from visa.
They guided me through the process and we got everything compliant. This wouldnt be an issue if they had us set up that way the right way from the very beginning
They are taking no accountability whatsoever.
I do like the software, but its pretty ridiculous paying almost 2K in a year because of their negligence
User's recommendation: Make sure they do a thorough job going through all the compliance in settings on your POS system and card reader.

- - Software was promised with the system and billed monthly.
- - We paid $1000 for a PC that costs about $200.
- - We haven't used the system yet.
When they sold us the system, they told us that once we buy the system, they will provide software with the system. After we received the system and called them for programming, we were informed that software cost $69.99 per month to use it.
We haven't used the system. For $1000, they pretty much supplied a low quality piece of junk computer which can be bought for $200.
Run as far away from this company.
I wonder how are they still in business. They indulge in extreme false advertising and fleece unsuspecting customers

Terrible software and customer service
- - Unhelpful, condescending support; no troubleshooting in first month.
- - Software fails after a month; long holds, voicemail, and no callbacks.
I caution anyone to buy from The Perfect POS. They are very unhelpful and condescending.
They do not help with any troubleshooting even in the first month, and you get bet that the software will stop working after the one month is up, at which point you will never be able to get anyone to answer you again. I bought directly from them, so it's not a third party problem. Their first system was so bad that I exchanged it, and the second one only worked for about 45 days before error messages began and the software wouldn't load again.
I called and waited on hold for 13 minutes just to finally get a voicemail and never get a call back 2 days in a row.
This company is a scam. Just look at their reviews on other large consumer sites.

The worst company
- - Promised site checks and inventory that aren't true.
- - After 45 days, issues persist: no real inventory, TeamViewer reliance, devices fail, losses.
i have been offer to have multiple location site check ,life inventory, and many lies more, now i have only 45 miserable days with them and we still with the same problems , no inventory is true, multiple location is a lie because we have to use teamview for that, also constants updates, if one computer is update the other one don't work, have been change the scanner in less than 1 month because is damage, the computers turn off by themself without no reason when we are working, many sales ans customer loss, i can say that i make than 3 calls a day to fix always something with this company . the wooooorst company for franchise.
- Terrible product
- Dinosaur system

Beware
- - Promised features not delivered; the company focuses on sales.
- - Only 2 of 6 installed; rest not delivered and data not included and progress halted.
If I could leave negative 5 stars, I would. This company is more sales than action.
I purchased 6 systems from them and was promised about 7 features that they now say arent even possible. Turns out that several of them are but they arent willing to follow through with their promises. If you are a small business with few products then this company might be good for you. Basically they promised a fully functional system that would be ready to go upon installation.
They came and install 1 of 6 and tried to get me to tell the leasing company that I had all the equipment and that I was satisfied. That one system was hardware and software but none of the data was in there as promised. Two weeks later they tell me that it is 100% later and scheduled to install 2 of 6. At this point I had been down in their office with several employees including tech and had confidence that they had finally gotten everything ready.
Knowing that I was 1 hour away, they called me and again asked me to call the lease company and say that I was satisfied. Again I said no and they got rude. The man threatened to take back the two he had installed and never come back if I didnt call the lease company. So I made the biggest mistake of my professional career and did it.
I called the lease company, told them that I had all the equipment and that I was satisfied. I find out the next day that they still didnt have the system ready for use and that the man had been bad mouthing me to my employees the whole time he was there. As soon as they got their money $20k+, they quit doing anything at all. I didn't receive the rest of the systems for a full year, mean while I am on the hook for $1000/mo.
Here we are, three years later, and I own $20k worth of decorations. The system is still not operational, only two were "installed" as they say and three are still sitting in a box brand new. My advice to any one looking into this company is this. If you have alot of different SKU's dont even bother unless you have professional training in computers.
And here is the big one. Get every little detail in the contract before you sign it. Do not believe anything they say unless you see it happen with your own eyes. They will tell you everything you want to hear and then drop you as soon as they have their money.
I could write 3 pages of things they promised and didnt come through on.
Get with your merchant processor and get your POS through them. They are designed for businesses of all types and are usually less than $75/mo.

POS Nation - Technical Support Review
- - Received equipment as ordered.
- - Training delayed; nothing downloaded; new menus not available.
- - Final contact was 3 months ago; no support.
Received equipment as ordered. Was told to send inventory & menu items to get downloaded in their system then we would be trained on operation and how to make changes.
Training date was set up then after their trainer got on the system with us we discovered that nothing had been downloaded to train with. By this time ( 2 months) we had new menus. We were informed to email the new menu's and they would be downloaded instead of the old menu's along with the inventory list. We emailed to two POS Nation employees.
2nd attempt at training took place in 2 weeks. Got on with trainer and new menu HAD NOT been downloaded but the old original one along with inventory. The trainer asked if we could reschedule the training for next week so they could get these items straightened out. I emailed the menu's again to three employees this time (two were the same two that all the original emails went to) The next week they called and asked if it was okay to reschedule the training for another date that they would get in touch with us to schedule.
They never have and emails and messages have gone unanswered.
The final contact with POS Nation was 3 months ago. I wish I had done more research before spending thousands on their system with no customer service or support.
Good & Affordable Point of Sale System
- - Purchased system for my restaurant via Amazon.
- - They remotely set up and guide the install.
- - 1-year hardware warranty; 30-day trial; works flawlessly.
I purchased the system for my restaurant on Amazon. Once I placed the order I received an email to contact the perfect pos for assistance.
They helped me with a set-up of my system as I'm not computer savvy. They remotely log into your computer and guide you through a set up. Then you have a year warranty for the hardware which is pretty good I think. Overall excellent service!
Their POS system works flawlessly. I had a 30 day trial to see if I'm satisfied with the system and the software. Thumbs up! From the start, many errors. Responsive, but no resolution.
- - No mini USB charger for iPad; they told me to buy it elsewhere.
- - PCI fees near $300 weren't disclosed; cancellation costs nearly $300.
I bought my ShopKeep POS system/peripherals through them. From the start, they didn't include a cable (mini USB charger ) to keep my iPad running.
Then told me I can get it anywhere (e.g. Best Buy) and brushed it off. The more major issues stem from their contract between my company and vantiv -- a merchant services company. I got hit up with nearly $300 in PCI Compliance fees that were either stated costing $0.00 on my contract, or never ever disclosed to me when revising my contract at the end of April 2016.
When seeking resolution, I have been given the runaround saying that this is a vantiv issue. vantiv meanwhile states that POS Nation is the "farmer" and that vantiv is the "tractor", The only solution that they have offered is cancellation of the contract without penalty -- without penalty except the nearly $300 that I am now out.
- Initial customer service
- Poorly written contracts and refusal to address issues

Great technical support
- - Great tech support today; two technicians rated 5/5; fast and helpful.
- - Ian is helpful and knowledgeable; Jason also gave full effort.
Great tech support! I have been helped twice today and I definitely rate both support guys a 5 out of 5.
They helped very quickly and promptly today. I appreciate having them available to me. Ian is especially helpful and knowledgeable. He always answers all of my questions and I hope that he shares his knowledge with some of the other techs that work there.
I have also worked with Jason. He gave his full effort and it was not an easy task for him. The service was very good. I rate your customer service a 5 out of 5 as well.
They are excellent and very informative. Thank you very much.

POS Nation - Pos System Review from Lawrenceville, Georgia
- - Salespeople make promises they can't keep.
- - Support spends hours trying fixes.
- - System cost about $5500, didn't meet min specs.
This company is terrible. There sales people know nothing and make promises they can't keep.
There support people don't know how to fix anything. They will spend hours on your system and just click click click trying things to see if it'll fix your problem. In most cases they have to call the manufactor of the software to fix it. Then they will tell you if you need anything else you have to pay the manufactor support to help.
They sold me a system at the tune of $5500 bucks and it wasn't even up to min specs to run the software.
They did replace it after arguing with them about 2 months. I wouldn't recommend buying anything from this company.
POS is a POJ(junk)
- - From day one this has been a headache.
- - POS loops and reboots waste hours, including price changes on multiple items.
- - Customer support has been abysmal.
From day one this thing has been a headache. Had it nearly a month and we are still trying to make function nominally.
The customer support has been abysmal. The most recent adventure involves attempting to perform price changes on multiple items.
The POS doesn't perform as it should; goes into continuous loops, requiring re-booting.
A function that should take seconds results in hours of time wasted and when their customer service links up, it responds as it should, then when they get off Poof, it's a POJ again. They insinuate it must be user error.
I'd really like them to come take this poJ away.

- - System clock not working and the device is unusable.
- - Promised features cannot be done with this purchase.
- - Refund requested; no reply from sales rep.
This has been a horrible experience from the day or system was shipped! Now the clock on the system won't even work rendering this whole thing completely useless and now we even found out that half the things our Sales rep told us we would be able to do are completely impossible to do with what he sold us.
We just want our money back.
These people cannot possibly legally be selling things that don't work! Now cannot even get an email back from the sales rep!
Horrible customer support
- - POS purchased 3 weeks ago; initial issue blamed on Windows, not the software.
- - Unable to use the system for over $1000; 3-day delay for Tier 3/24/7 support.
Purchased the POS system about 3 weeks ago. When first installed there was an issue which POS tries to say that it was a windows issue and had nothing to do with their software.
Within that time frame I was not able to use the POS system which I paid over $1000 and was not able to use the system. I was told the issue had to be transferred to tier 3 support! Which I paid additional money for monthly 24hr support which to me was false advertisement! It took someone 3 days to contact my company in reference to fixing the issue!
Finally after a busy holiday weekend!!!!! Someone fixed the issue! Today I was set up for some additional training with the company! while in the training they seemed as if they didn't know what info to give and were very rude!
In addition they have people working with broken English and can communicate properly! During the so called training session (I KNEW MORE INFO THAN THE REPS) they messed the system up again and it froze! I am now back at step one! I was told someone would call me in ten min LOL a big joke!
I had to call them back! Once I called them back they bluff and tell you all types of other things! The one that really got me was that MCAFEE was causing the issue and because of my windows updates! Mind you all of these where present from day one!
I allowed use of remote access to my computer where the rep told me that once I updated everything the issue would be fixed! Well hours later the issue was not fixed and I was once again found calling and leaving voice mails for someone to contact me! all this time I am not able to process any sales! This company is full of ***!
They off way to expensive products, with *** service! During the remote access they also turn my mcafee off! So if a virus or issues happens with my CPU I will be sure to have it documented!
This is day one of the issue, lets see how long it will be before this is taken care of!

Failed to integrate my system and refused refund!
- - POS bought for over $5,800 with about $300 for integration.
- - No integration after months; no refund; disputes to North Carolina; investigation begun.
Purchased a POS system for more than $5800. I was told that in order to integrate the system with my web site I needed to spend additional approximately $300 for the software.
Three month went by and no integration. They told me they can not integrate it and when I asked for a refund they said there is no refund. Weeks later they called and said that someone at my web provider told them that it could not be integrated and they further spoke with that company and they confirmed that it could be integrated. Three more weeks went by with no integration or no refund!
They tried to blame me for not cooperation after waiting on them for three months. They set-up there invoice to include a clause of no refund, after they get your money they think they don't have an obligation to complete the transaction and totally destroyed my start-up business to the point I was forced to close due to incomes losses from my web site that never got integrated as promised. In my view they are robbers!!! I worked so hard to start my own business just for them to come and take it all away!
I put my trust in them and they took me to the bank! I am in Massachusetts and they also put a clause that says that all disputes must be brought to North Carolina. They are using North Carolina laws to rob people and I cant believe North Carolina allows them to exist! I an not surprised when I started researching complaints against them.
They all sound the same theme...get our money and treat us like dirt!
They destroyed my business and I will now destroy their business! I filed legal action and got an investigation going!
Buyers Stay Away!!!
- - POS printer failed after a few months.
- - Alleges a manager cursed at them when asking about a 2-year warranty; claims items are old and faulty.
Purchased a POS and the printer malfunctioned after a few months. Called to see how to get the 2 yr warranty honored and was told by Scott to *** Off since we haven't spent any money since then.
He's supposedly the manager. I simply just wanted to get the printer working so I don't think unnecessary foul language is called for due to me not spending any more money on items I don't need. Please be aware to all who are thinking of doing business with this company. This company is a complete scam.
The items they sell are old and faulty which I didn't care too much about since I already made the sale. That's my fault for not doing my due diligence. However, at least have the courtesy to fulfill the manufacturer warranty.
Also, there isn't a need to tell a customer to F Off in any circumstance especially when I'm just asking an innocent question. Stay Away!
Refurbished POS
The hardware was old -- really old. I can live with that. However the packaging was very sloppy and shoddy. Everything in the box was loose. The box itself was thin and flimsy and as a result crushed. The LCD screen was cracked and plastic pieces had broken off the CPU tower.
To make matters worse, they describe the product on amazon in this way, "All you do is turn on your POS system and its ready to work !!". The computer does not even have an operating system installed.
They refuse to return my emails and they don't answer their 800 number
The Perfect POS is not a reputable company.

That $800 scammer, was the card not present?
He acted like he was using his phone to pay and typing underneath it..while talking it up to my cashier as a distraction
